PULP - BOSTON, MA 9.13.2025

Coverage by Adam W Gerhold

The Jarvis Cocker fronted band known worldwide as Pulp, transformed and old horse race track under low flying planes into a light flashing, color saturated, trip through ups and downs, dances and seated deliveries, drenched in the sounds that only Pulp can produce.

The night started with an incredible set from Hamilton Leithauser before Jarvis and Pulp captivated the crowd like they were in the palm on his hand. His charisma, dance moves, delivery, and presence as a whole is utterly intoxicating. Time stops and the place extracts itself from normal space and for a brief moment we were weightless of the weight of the chaos we live in during every other minute of our existence… Sorry.

Not only were the dancing freaks of Suffolk Downs treated to a visual and audible experience with Tracks from their new record, More, like “Spike Island,” and “Slow Jam,” but we also got the tour debut of, “Partial Eclipse,” from the same record and the tour debut of, “Razzmatass,” and heavy hits, “Disco 2000,” “Common People,” and “This Is Hardcore.”

Pulp Is Hardcore.

What exactly do you do for an encore?
'Cause this is hardcore
